We are delighted to announce that Greens at Gretna Bar & Restaurant is now officially open! As of 12 noon today, on the 23rd of June, Greens at Gretna formally opened for business. The team are all excited to welcome our first customers later today, with our first bookings already coming in!

Greens at Gretna Bar & Restaurant Opening Today

Senior colleagues from across the Gretna Green Ltd. family, including CEO Isabel Rhodes and Director Lucy Houston, joined Chris Ainsworth, Manager of Greens at Gretna, for the long-awaited opening ceremony and ribbon-cutting this morning. Greens at Gretna has been closed for almost three years, since its former life as a hotel came to an end with the start of the COVID pandemic. Now, Greens at Gretna is reopening as a bar and restaurant, offering local and family-oriented dining.

Our new restaurant menu offers a wide range of dining options for customers, from lunchtime sandwiches to three-course dinner, tapas selections, and a Build-Your-Own-Burger option! Our full menu, along with our Kids Menu and Drinks Menu, are all available to view online, if you’d like to see what we have on offer before your visit. Greens at Gretna was once known as “The First Hotel in Scotland”. While it may no longer be a hotel, we’re excited for its new life as “The First Restaurant in Scotland”!
